Diza Edgina is a Javanese American-Canadian writer and filmmaker raised in the tropical archipelago of Hawai‘i. Her work is grounded in spirit folklore, ancestral mysticism, and diasporic Southeast Asian queer experiences.
Previously, she was a 2025 Film Independent x HV Arts Hub 10x10 Award winner, a 2024 Austin Film Festival semifinalist for her pilot “Out of the Blue,” and a 2022 MTV Joel Schumacher & Sophia Cranshaw Mentorship Award recipient.
